Thank you, Joan. We were awake early and I was able to sip my coffee as the couple were walking down the aisle - actually the nave - in splendid HD. I hope you are well!
A few friends came over and we watched on commercial-free BBC America with scones, clotted cream, strawberries, etc. It was a lovely event with some hat diversion thrown in to stir it up.
The Devoted Classicist, thank you. Trees in the nave and hats, so many hats. And fascinators, too - from the sublime to the wondrous! It's years since I've eaten scones and clotted cream but I am going to wholefoods this afternoon and we have a house guest from England .....
An interior design history enthusiast and in my own way an erstwhile chronicler of those I call the Lost Generation - those men, some of them gay and many of whom died of AIDS in the 1980s and 1990s, and who are to a great degree forgotten.
Congratulations to the royal couple!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful wedding. Wishing you and the Celt a fun celebration and a wonderful weekend!!
