      Donna, thank you. I live in Atlanta so find it quite mildly humid. Enjoying a Sazarac at the moment!

    Be brave, sit with the lady of the most exuberant scent, and cut back on the sugar in the Sazarac!

    Cotton socks, in skin colour, if poss. Would make you more comfortable!

    Herts, thank you. I agree but have got used to the southern gent's way of going sockless in summer. Shoe liners, of course, do help. As to mozzies: "Deep Woods" scent free towelettes are a boon to a bare ankle when sitting at table on a southern lawn.
