le style et la matiere and Rose C'est La Vie, thank you. Never having grown up with Thanksgiving and not having family here it's difficult to appreciate the festival. I cannot stand turkey, or really any form of dead bird, unless it's very well disguised, so the main meal of the day is lost on me. We actually spent a very pleasant day with a neighbour and her family and I was able to only eat vegetables and dessert. What could be better?
I think being able to eat only vegetables and dessert is a holiday in itself. We gave up turkey many years ago for the noble capon. It is a lovely reminder that great sacrifices should never go unpraised. Happy dessert.
And to you; a Happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Blue. Best wishes to you and the Celt.
ReplyDeleteA very Happy Thanksgiving to you!
ReplyDeleteBruce Barone, John T and smilla4blogs - thank you very much. I always appreciate hearing from you and more so at a time like this.
ReplyDeleteAnd to you, too, Blue. And the Celt! RandB

ReplyDeleteA bit late to wish you Thanksgiving greetings but thank you for the Eric Ravilious, a massive favourite of mine.
