All the furnishings had been removed and the inside had been painted all white, which gave the place a modernist feel. But in retrospect, I very much like the photos of how Jova decorated the house. It was beautiful.

The bank building has had it's ups and downs, but it is currently being worked on for a new restaurant, which I will look forward too. Your posting of the living room of Henri Jova is a testament to it. The room is as modern today as it was in the 50s and were it not for your explanation, I would have deemed it current.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8785207417164829425.post-13685381817136403062014-01-30T22:53:07.781-05:002014-01-30T22:53:07.781-05:00To cash my checks at that incredible bank I always...To cash my checks at that incredible bank I always felt a millionaire until I looked in the envelope and prayed I'd make it until the following week when I for one brief moment was rich again.
Thank you Blue for bringing up a long forgotten memory. The Swedehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08368576755650274211noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8785207417164829425.post-78790201695744517962014-01-30T09:07:34.169-05:002014-01-30T09:07:34.169-05:00Thank you, Terry.

It was on an ancient Midtown tour of homes. I don't remember specifics but remember being there. Outside this is one of the best best blocks in Midtown, compact and private and harmonious and eclectic. If I'm nearby, I'll do the Mentelle curve.Terryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14154846109609330503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8785207417164829425.post-51751478356802375092014-01-29T21:30:53.295-05:002014-01-29T21:30:53.295-05:00ArchitectDesign, thank you.
